Phishing
Phishing is a cyber attack in which criminals pretend to be a trusted organisation, such as a bank, delivery company or employer, to trick people into revealing passwords, OTPs, card details or into installing malware. It usually arrives by email, SMS (smishing), phone calls (vishing) or fake websites.
Warning signs include urgent or threatening messages, unexpected links or attachments, misspelled domain names and requests for OTPs or passwords. Protect yourself by checking the sender and URL carefully, never sharing OTPs, and using two-factor authentication.
