How to use the Text Repeater
1. Type or paste the text you want to repeat in the input field.
2. Set the number of repetitions and choose a separator (\\n for newline, \\t for tab, or any custom string).
3. Copy the repeated output from the result area.
What is it?
Text repetition is a common task when generating test data, creating dummy content for UI testing, building placeholder datasets, or stress-testing input fields. Rather than manually copy-pasting text dozens of times, this tool generates the repeated content instantly with your chosen separator.
The separator field supports escape sequences: \\n inserts a newline (each repetition on its own line), \\t inserts a tab character, and any other string is used literally. You can combine characters, for example \\n--- to separate repetitions with a line and a horizontal rule.
Example
*
*, *, *, *, *
Use \\n as separator to put each repetition on its own line — great for generating test data sets.
Benefits
Generate repeated strings to test input length handling
Repeat 'a' ten thousand times to test buffer overflow protection, database column limits, and UI truncation behavior.
Create filler content for load testing and performance benchmarks
Repeated strings of a known size produce predictable-length payloads for bandwidth, throughput, and latency testing.
Build test fixtures that require repeated pattern structure
Generate arrays, config blocks, or markup that follows a repeated pattern without writing a loop or template script.
Test maximum-length input on form fields and text areas
Populate any input with exactly the maximum character count to confirm your validation and storage handles the boundary correctly.
Frequently asked questions
What separators can I use?
The separator field accepts any text. Use \n for a newline (each repetition on a new line), \t for a tab, or type any custom separator like ', ' for comma-separated, ' | ' for pipe-separated, or leave it empty to concatenate with no gap.
Is there a maximum repetition count?
The tool handles up to 10,000 repetitions in the browser. For very large counts, output may take a moment to generate. If you need millions of repetitions, a server-side script would be more appropriate.
Can I repeat multiple lines of text?
Yes — the entire content of the input (including line breaks) is treated as a single unit and repeated as-is. If your input has 3 lines and you repeat it 4 times, you get 12 lines of output (4 groups of 3).
