Kubernetes

Kubernetes (K8s) is an open-source system, originally designed by Google, for automating the deployment, scaling and management of containerised applications across a cluster of machines.

Applications run in pods (one or more containers), which Kubernetes schedules onto nodes, restarts if they fail, scales up or down with demand, and exposes through services and load balancers. It supports rolling updates and rollbacks, and managed versions are offered by cloud providers as EKS, AKS and GKE.
