DevOps

DevOps is a culture and set of practices that brings software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) together, so that teams can build, test, release and run software faster and more reliably. Instead of developers handing code over to a separate operations team, both share responsibility for the software from writing it to running it in production.

Key DevOps practices include version control, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, infrastructure as code, containers, monitoring and fast feedback. Common tools include Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Prometheus.
