Domain Name
A domain name is the human-readable address of a website, such as ihelpyou.in or google.com, used instead of the numeric IP address of the server. DNS translates the domain name into the IP address so the browser can connect to the right server.
A domain is read from right to left: the top-level domain (TLD) such as .com, .in or .org, then the second-level domain chosen by the owner, and optional subdomains such as www or blog. Domains are rented yearly from registrars, and the registry for each TLD keeps the official list of owners.
