OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is a programming style that organises code around objects: bundles of data (fields) and the functions that work on it (methods). Objects are created from classes, which act as blueprints.

OOP rests on four pillars. Encapsulation keeps an object's data private behind its methods. Abstraction exposes only what is needed. Inheritance lets a class reuse and extend another class. Polymorphism lets one interface work with many types. Java, C#, C++, Python and Kotlin all support OOP; other styles include procedural and functional programming.
