HTML → JSX Converter

Convert HTML to React JSX — transforms class→className, for→htmlFor, onclick→onClick, inline styles to JS objects, and adds self-closing tags for void elements automatically. Free, and it runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded.

How to use the HTML → JSX Converter

1. Paste HTML in the left panel.

2. Click Convert — class becomes className, for becomes htmlFor, event handlers are camelCased, inline styles are converted to objects, and void elements get self-closing tags.

What is it?

JSX (JavaScript XML) is React's syntax extension that looks like HTML but has important differences. Because JSX is JavaScript, HTML attributes that conflict with JS reserved words are renamed (class→className, for→htmlFor). Event handlers use camelCase (onclick→onClick). Style values must be JavaScript objects with camelCased property names. Void elements must be self-closing (<img /> instead of <img>).

Benefits

Build complex layouts without memorising syntax

Flexbox, grid, gradients, and box shadows are generated interactively — tweak parameters and see the result live, then copy the CSS directly into your stylesheet.

Prototype and iterate designs in seconds

Visual generators let you experiment with layout, shadows, gradients, and spacing without switching between editor and browser on every change.

Accessible color choices, verified before shipping

Color Contrast Checker confirms text and background combinations meet WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA requirements — catch contrast failures before users or auditors do.

Responsive values that scale correctly

CSS Clamp Calculator and Unit Converter produce fluid, viewport-relative values that work across screen sizes without manual arithmetic or magic numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Why class→className?

class is a reserved keyword in JavaScript (used for class declarations). JSX compiles to JavaScript, so attribute names must avoid JS reserved words.

Does it handle SVG attributes?

Basic SVG attributes are preserved. Some SVG-specific attribute case differences (viewBox, strokeWidth) may need manual adjustment.
